[apte] a. (yī f.) An affix used to indicate ‘made of,’ ‘coneisting or composed of,’ ‘full of’: kanakamaya, kāṣṭhamaya, tejomaya, jalamaya &c. --yaḥ 1 N. of a demon, the archi- tect of the demons. (He built the ‘three cities’ for the demons; cf. tripura. He is also said to have built a splendid hall for the Pāṇḍavas). --2 A horse. --3 A camel. --4 A mule. --yī A mare.
