[apte] A Taddhita affix of the com- parative degree, added to adjecti- ves, nouns, and also to verbs and indeclinables in which latter case it is changed to tarām. It is added, like tama, to pronouns in the sense of ‘one of two,’ e. g. katara, tatara, yatara &c.
